Bruno Mars is making a comeback

You heard it here first! Bruno Mars is making a comeback - in my heart.

Now you might be saying, "Hannah Grace Nash what are you on about? Bruno never went away, there is no comeback."

And while that is perfectly true - my truth is that he totally fell off my list of artists for years. But now he's back!

There is something to be said about rediscovering an artist you once loved. I think it's sweeter than finding them for the first time. It's like the feeling of coming back home after you've been away at college for a while and remembering exactly why you love it so much.

I got my love for Bruno Mars from my dad, Robbie (he's the best)! We have extremely similar music tastes and he knew I would love his stuff! So thoughtful! We used to listen to it all the time in the car and the vibes were always high.

But, if you're anything like me you're constantly running in a million different directions and easily move on to your next favorite song. Bruno just eventually fell off my radar and I never really went back.

UNTIL, spring break baby!

Ann Claire in her Billionaire era

My little, Ann Claire, is always voted dj of the group because she's undeniably the best. One night on our spreak trip she was playing the music she typically queues and we were just hanging out living our best lives. Until randomly she puts on "Billionaire," from Bruno Mars and we all lost our minds. It quite literally took over our spring break trip.

Now I'm not the best at estimations and can't tell you just how many times "Billionaire," was played over the last few days of our trip, but I can venture to say it'll probably end up in Ann Claire's Spotify wrapped at the end of the year.

If you don't know what song I'm talking about then that is absolutely devastating and, for your own personal growth, I need you to listen to it immediately and then come back and let me know how your life was changed. It's just that good.

After hearing this song and rediscovering my love for it and Bruno, I have to be vulnerable and tell you I was absolutely floored when I found out it's not even his own song - it's actually by Travie McCoy and features Bruno.

Regardless of whose song it is, it's still one of the best songs ever and I can't believe I went so many years without it on a regular basis. Never again.

This song is probably one of the most epic pieces of art in the whole world ever (yep, I said it) and I just need everyone to know and appreciate it.

I'll even give you two undeniable reasons why it should be your new favorite song too:

1. the vibes are unmatched

2. it's my favorite song

3. don't you want your name in shining lights?

I'm currently adding to my 2024 bingo card that the whole world will collectively re-enter their Bruno era and we never forget the true perfection that is Bruno Mars again.

Billionaire is the energy we all need to be taking with us throughout 2024 because I sure do want to be on the cover of Forbes magazine. And I surely would like to be smiling next to Oprah and the Queen.
